Shouldered and shoulderless eye screws have significant differences in design, functionality and application, and understanding these differences is essential to choosing the right screw. Shouldered eye screws are designed with a cylindrical shoulder between the shank and the ring, which plays a very important role in the application. The presence of the shoulder helps to evenly distribute the load and relieve the pressure on the threaded part, so it can effectively withstand large loads. The design of shoulderless eye screws is simpler, with the eye ring directly connected to the shank and no shoulder to distribute the pressure. This means that shoulderless eye screws are less able to withstand loads and are more likely to be damaged under greater pressure.

In terms of load distribution, shouldered eye screws show better load distribution. They are commonly found in fields such as lifting equipment, industrial machinery, ships and construction projects, where there are high requirements for uniform load distribution and screw stability. Shoulderless eye screws are usually used in occasions that do not require excessive loads, such as home decoration, light machinery installation or fixing light objects, and they are mostly used in general fixing and connection tasks.

In terms of durability, shoulder eye screws can effectively avoid damage or wear of the threaded part due to long-term stress due to the existence of the shoulder design. This makes them have a longer service life in high-intensity use or repeated load environments.
